Le Fantôme is a legendary French burglar who is unlocked by evading 35 enemy attacks.
The easiest way to achieve this is through the use of the medium armour skill evade. Otherwise you are reliant on a successful natural reflexes evasion. A natural miss by the enemy doesn't count. The quickest way to unlock is to put your party members who can wear medium armour, out in the open and wait to get shot at. Unfortunately this wastes bravery, so is best done replaying an earlier mission with a levelled up party to avoid being killed en masse.
As of January 2021 he has the second lowest unlock rate based on the percentage of players on Steam who have his trophy. As of build 1.1.6 he is the only character to retain his negative perk; all other negative perks (qualms - Baron, animal lover - Leonara, superstitious - Omar, pacifist - Dr Chandra) had been removed. The starting equipment provided to him also indicate the likelihood of him being one of the last to join the party.
His starting equipment is a Level 4 common knife (28-35 damage) and a Level 2 medkit (+40HP). He wears Level 3 light armour. He can be used either as a stealthy battlefield manipulator (bait, psychic control) or as an ambush attacker ( crippling shot/dash, sudden strike). One decision you have to make is whether to add a ranged attack or improve his defences.
In hard-core mode he starts with a level 1 knife, level merlot and wearing level 1 light armour.

|Knife||Can equip Knives. Knives have the special ability Bleed, causing the target to take additional damage in subsequent turns.||Crit Chance +4|
|Pistol||Can equip Pistols. Pistol have the special ability Double Shot, which allows firing of two rapid shots in one turn.||Optional at Level 3|
|Light Armor||Can equip Light Armors. Light Armors enable the special ability Sprint. Sprinting allows to cover a much larger distance than a normal move.|
|Medium Armor||Can equip Medium Armors. Medium Armors enable the special ability Low Profile. When Low Profile is activated, the character receives a temporary Evade boost of 40% in the current turn and during the next enemy turn.||Optional at Level 3|
|Medkit||May use Medkits. Medkits can be used to heal and revive people when they are knocked out.|| Heal Amount +5.

|1||Vanish||Special Ability||The character vanishes out of sight, and is invisible to enemies for the next turn. Vanished characters can move unseen. If this character attacks an enemy however, the vanish effect will be neutralised. Requires: x2 Bravery.|

|Dash||Special Ability||Move to an adjacent position up to 2 tiles away. Dash doesn't trigger ambushes. Does not use any action points.Straigh line moves only. May make consecutive dash moves in one turn. Requires: 1x Bravery.|

|Psychic Control *||Special Ability||Use your psychic powers to force an enemy to attack one of their allies. The ally is selected randomly. Requires: x2 Bravery.|
(*) Psychic control has a maximum range of 10 tiles. It does not work on Dogs, Zombies or Sporebearers. The enemy must be able to attack at least one of their own forces with a ranged attack for them to be considered a viable target, as they will not move from their current position. When selected, the enemy will indicate their possible targets by placing red aiming tiles underneath them. Only when there are 2 or more viable targets is the choice random.
